As of November 2008, Phase I of Alliger Park is 100% complete with the construction of a veterans monument and memorial walkway. Funds raised so far, including "services in kind," total approximately $200,000. In May of 2008, a bronze American eagle statuary was transported and mounted onto a granite pier to complete the centerpiece of the memorial.

The sketch above details Phase II and III of the development of Alliger Park. This public site, with access to 17,000+ residents of Hopewell Township, will feature a 42 space hard surface “Trail Head” parking lot and handicapped accessible walkways to the memorial. It will also include trails for active/passive recreation that will connect the Lawrence Hopewell Trail System through Pennington and to the west into Washington Crossing State Park. Stone entranceways with signs defining the park, lighting, and landscaping will also be installed.

By 2011, through the support of corporate funding, grants, and resident donations, the Association will move the old brick “Harts Corner” School House to the site for an interpretive museum. This museum will add diversity and education to the park and will be an asset to all community members. This will complete the 167 acre tract that has been preserved using Green Acres funding.
