Funds Given for Hopewell Valley Vets' Memorial

HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP -- Representatives of Capital Health System, Hopewell Valley Bank and Hopewell Township gathered in the foyer of the township municipal building on Wednesday morning to present a gift of funds for the new Hopewell Valley Veterans Memorial Walk.

The memorial is slated to be built on the Alliger Tract on Washington Crossing-Pennington Road, next to the municipal building.

Its construction -- which is expected to cost about $550,000 -- will begin in mid-April and should be completed by Memorial Day, project fundraisers said.

Contributions to the project should be sent to the Hopewell Valley Veterans Association, Inc., P.O. Box 394, Pennington, NJ 08543.
